Larry Boatman’s Max Butler “Sledge”
Here’s another amp that Max Built early on (that we don’t have many pictures of….just yet) called the “Sledge”. This is a 50 watt sledge stack. The cabinets contain EVM-12 speakers, and the head is 50 watt (Marshall Plexi style).
This amp is dated being built 5/1/1978 and has serial #00665.

These amps are superb! I have one that was made about the same time but with only 1 cabinet. I can’t imagine moving 2 of these cabinets they are super heavy duty! Plug a Les Paul into this bad boy and you can’t help playing smoke on the water or breaking the law! Enjoy it Larry you have a keeper!
