Butler Swamp 50 Amp Pics
We don’t often come across Butler amps that are for sale, but every now and again we see one for sale in a forum or on eBay. Max has built nearly 400 amps in the last 30+ years, and many variations of his amps exist, such as a few combos, some 2×12’s, some heads with 4×12 bottoms, and then a lot of heads with 1×12 cabs.

I just wanted to introduce myself my name is chad riggs aka big riggs band I started playing music at a very young age I think I was 10 when i started play my grandpa guitar and the very first amp that i played threw was a max Butler Swamp 50 and at the age of 16 my grandpa gave me that amp and i played that amp all over the USA but mostly in Nashville tn were i must have had a least 100 gutiar pickers try to buy that amp off of me but i would tell the that my grandpa gave it to me and then they would know it wasn’t forsale early last year i came home to try to save up some money to finish my cd and some great friends let me stay for very cheep so i could finish my cd while staying with them they had a house fire and i lost all of my guitars my max Butler Swamp 50 amp it was the worst day of my life but because of great friends i made it threw and finished my album check out my music at reverbnation / bigriggsband.com cause 7 out 10 songs was recorded with th w max Butler amp my grandpa gave me in my opinion you make the greatest amps in the world i know as soon as i can afford to have a new max butter that’s the only amp i will consider to buy thanks for making such a sweet amp from your friend big riggs band from lansing mi

Hi Max
I drove out to meet you and purchase your red Swamp 50 head and matching cab with vintage 30 speaker.
Thats was about five years ago and it’s still one of the best sounding one I have and I have Boogie,Redplate,Music Man Fender,etc..
